Lemmie and other things April 18, 2011

Well the Gillespies had a full day yesterday (Sunday). We went to church (the Episcopal Church in Carrollton), we partied with the Pantin Family for Elliott’s upcoming 2nd birthday, and the list goes on and on. I snapped this picture of Lemmie, Robert’s parents’ dog, after we picked her up from Dollar General, which is quite a distance from her house. We loaded her up in the ‘mama mobile’ and took her home. Charlie Rogan loved it!!!! Sent from my BlackBerry® smartphone

Team CR shirts and other stuff

Filed under: Uncategorized — Stephanie Gillespie @ 3:00 pm

Well it’s that time…..I will be placing the order for the Team Charlie Rogan (March for Babies) shirts this week. There is still time to get your order in to me, but I need to have all orders by Thursday. Shirts are $18 and all proceeds go to benefit the March of Dimes.

Other news…….Yates has an ear infection in both ears. This is not a new thing….we have been in the doctor’s office at least once a month since January with ear infections, but it has come to a point that he may need tubes in the very near future. They gave him a rocephin shot today, and we go back tomorrow and Wednesday for two more shots. Charlie Rogan got tubes put in at 7 months….Yates is now 6 months. We will see what his ears look like after this round of shots and go from there. Honestly, tubes seem like the best option at this point. Sent from my BlackBerry® smartphone

My Short List Of Things I Intend To Do…..Very Soon April 7, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — Stephanie Gillespie @ 6:47 pm

So I’m going to make this a running list of things I need and want to do to better my life and the life of my family. So far I only have a couple of things to add to the list, but it is a work in progress.

1. I plan to take my kids to church on a regular basis. We are going to begin attending the Episcopal Church in Carrollton.

2. I’m going to attempt to make my own baby food. (I do mean ATTEMPT)

3. I’m going to work to become a more organized person.

4. I’m going to start clipping coupons and finding other unique ways to save money.

As I said before, the list is very short right now. Of course there are more things in and about my life that I need to fix and do, but these few things are my starting point. Sent from my BlackBerry® smartphone

A Week In The Life….. March 31, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — Stephanie Gillespie @ 2:26 pm

Charlie Rogan and Yates are both changing more and more everyday, and in some ways it makes me sad, but I’m loving every minute of watching them grow.

I look at this little, sassy person CR is becoming, and it’s starting to feel like the preemie days were such a long time ago. We talk, we laugh, we sing, we dance, and life with her is more than I ever imagined it could be. I feel so blessed and much more content than I ever have before. She told me to ‘leave me on’ (leave me alone) the other night. I didn’t know whether to laugh, yell or cry. The fact that my baby has become her own person with her own thoughts and ideas just blows me away at times. How did this happen so fast?

Then there’s Yates…..my silly, giggling, baby boy. He’s such a ham….all the time. God has never blessed anyone with a better, sweeter baby. He is just so content and happy, and his happiness is contagious. He wakes up smiling and goes to bed doing the same. Life with Yates is good…..GREAT!

Sometimes I want to pull my hair out because there are so many things going on at once and I begin to feel overwhelmed, then I look at those two and realize how very lucky I am to feel so stressed. Sent from my BlackBerry® smartphone
