I read this on my friend Claire’s blog. Although I do not personally know this family, my heart hurts for them. I will be keeping them in my prayers, and I hope you will too. If you care to pass this along, please do. They need all the prayers they can get. Here is Claire’s post:
“Many of you will not know Megan Gardner Bell, but she desperately needs your continuous prayers right now. She had been hospitalized at Woman’s Hospital for a couple of weeks in pre-term labor with twins. Yesterday, just shy of 24 weeks, she underwent an emergency C-section to deliver her babies. Evie Caroline was 1.2 lbs. and Holden Clay was 1.7 lbs. Miracle of miracles, they are both stable at the moment at River Oaks. Please pray for their continued health and growth at River Oaks Hospital. Megan, however coded on the delivery table. The doctors managed to revive her but she is now on a vent. in critical condition in CCU at St. Dominics due to a pulmonary embolism (blood clot to the lungs). She is not responding to any pain stimulation and her EEG showed “sluggish” brain activity. Please pray for Megan, her husband Kreig, their tiny babies, their families, and all of the MDs and RNs and any other medical team member that may come in contact with each of them.
